These isolators decouple studio monitors and speakers from the supporting surface to eliminate the transfer of energy and the resulting sound smearing and coloration. Even placement on the most solid surfaces will greatly benefit as the internal reflections coming back up from the supporting surface are attenuated to eliminate the smear and provide greater sound clarity and open up the stereo image.
By reducing the vibration of the speaker you immediately notice that the transients are clearer and more precise. At first listen, you notice more punch and a more extended and defined low frequency range. After further listening, you begin to notice more detail across all frequencies, better transient response and a significantly more defined stereo image. By eliminating all the resonances produced by placing the speakers on your stands or stands, your mixes translate at their best.
